Course Description

Greek Exegesis: 以弗所书 consists of translation of 和 解释的 analysis in Greek of the epistle to the 以弗所书, with special attention to how syntactical structures contribute to semantic analysis..

Assignment 概述

Using the skills learned in class, the students will demonstrate through two 解释的 论文 their ability to (1) 翻译 passages from Greek, (2) evaluate textual evidence 和 argue for the most likely meaning 在 presence of textual variants, 和 (3) make the interpretive journey from Koine Greek text to modern-day application.

  • 奖学金 – Write an essay that identifies the Old Testament texts Paul uses in 以弗所书 和 describes the ways he uses those Old Testament texts.
  • – Write a one-page 解释的 outline of this week’s passage suit能力 for use in a sermon. Identify the need the passage addresses, the textual idea statement, 和 at least one concrete application.
  • Personal development – Write a 500-600 word devotional meditation that could be posted to a blog or a social media page that reflections on the implications of our union with Christ (Eph. 2:1-10).
